The Facilaities Maintenance Division (FMD) consist of the members who are employeed by Barnard College under the following classifications:

1. HVAC Mechanics
2. Building Mechanics-A
3. Trades Mechanics (Carpenter, Plumbler, Electician & Masons)
4. Gardener-Groundskeeper
5. Head Mechanics

The members who are employed as HVAC mechanics deals with and are responsible to monitor, and make minor repairs to buildings as well as rooms aircondition units and building boilers.

The members who are employed as Building Mechanics-A are usually responsible to repond to and maintain various doors, windows, apliances, restrooms and other such things that may be required to be repaired in any of the buildings from time to time.
